Ian welcomed us to worship on 5th September, the first Sunday of our Season of Creation, a time to rest in the wonder of the world and to join all creatures in praising our creator; and a time to recommit to working with our creator for the renewal of the world. This week is Earth Sunday, and we celebrate the good Earth, while also lamenting her pain and humanity’s part in causing that pain.
We will hear the first of the two creation stories from Genesis – a story which contains some very difficult verses about human dominion.
