On Advent 2B, 6th December we lit our second candle for peace. The second Sunday of Advent invites us to focus on peace, shalom. We worshipped God together, remembering that God’s future is a future of peace and God’s future is not distant, it is here with us today.

Candle Story project – This project has been an invitation for each of us to share the story of the candle we are lighting in our homes or the candle holder. During Advent the young people are lighting the candles in our Advent wreath. This week Jacob Ly and Tonia Beggs lit the second candle. Read the story here.

Act for Peace Christmas Bowl Appeal – Dr Mehidi Hassan and his fellow doctors see between 1200 and 1500 patients a day.
