Easter Messages

Cath on leave and welcome David
Cath will be away for two weeks after Easter – back 16th April.
We will welcome Rev. David Anderson as preacher on 7th April and to preside over Holy Communion.

Conversation about children and young people in worship
Thanks to all those who attended the conversation last Sunday.
It was wonderful to have such a turn out and to hear your feelings, ideas and desire to find ways of enabling our children and young people to participate more in our worship.
I have since had further conversations with people and am gradually clarifying the next steps.
The process from here will be: to distill, discern and work out what things we can do easily, what things are long term goals and what things might need a re-think.
I will continue having conversations with those who were unable to make it last Sunday and with the various committees I’m part of.
I will do a more comprehensive report back to the May church council meeting (which meets on 9 May). This will also be available in the May Olive Branch.  Rev Cath James

Rethinking Racism
Join the Justice and Mission Committee in a space for listening, discussion and reflection about racism and anti-racism. We will be listening to First Nations voices on these topics, and reflecting on how we can act in good allyship.  Two opportunities:  in person after worship on 21st April or on Zoom on 23rd April.

Welcoming Ceremony
We will offer a Welcoming Ceremony during worship on 28th April for people who have recently (or not so recently) become part of the BUC community.  Each person being welcomed will share their story and we will all share in making responses.  If you would like to participate please contact Wayne Matthews, 0415 378 362, chair of the Pastoral Care Hospitality Committee.
