Listening and responding through the Arts

The BUC Arts committee together with the Justice & Mission committee is delighted to invite you to join us for a Visual Arts Exhibition and program of events at Brunswick UC, 27 September to 6 October 2018, 212 Sydney Rd Brunswick.

Contributors are invited to submit a new work responding to one or more of these questions:
What are you hearing? How are you listening?
What is your response to the vulnerable earth, people, creatures, communities?
What new thing are you being called to?
Where do you see the love of the Creator, the hope of Christ and the new life of the Spirit?

Submissions
Deadline for submission: 1pm Sunday 1st September.
Written description of works to be provided: Sunday 15th September
Delivery of works: Saturday 21st September (2-4pm) and Sunday 22nd September (11am-1pm)

The JAM committee has a broad mandate that could involve almost everything the church does, as ‘the church lives for and by mission’. We are excited by the opportunities of extending the mission work of the congregation and also joining ecumenically, where appropriate. But we are conscious of the need to keep the congregation involved and supportive, so that mission remains part of the life of the whole worshipping community.
