Read the Advent 3 story – Finding joy in resilience

It takes a village…to worship God and tell the Christmas story
Would you like to offer a reading on Christmas Day?  There will be a number of (shorter) readings so it would be great to have many voices.  Please let Kirsty Bennett know if you can join in.  kirstyabennett@gmail.com.

Singing on the Steps
Be ready to join in the fun of singing Christmas Carols on our Tower Room steps after worship on Sunday 17th December.  No rehearsal needed.  We’ll sing our way through our ‘little red book’ and wave hello to passers-by when/if they stop.

Christmas Eve Pageant Rehearsal
The cast has been rehearsing and having a wonderful time.  On Christmas Eve we rehearse in the afternoon and enjoy a break for a light meal before the big event.  We’d love to hear from 2 or 3 people who can help to provide the makings of salad rolls and a fruit platter.  All costs reimbursed.  Send Saide an email if you can help.

Christmas Carol service
We are invited to join Northcote Uniting Church for a family friendly carols service on Sunday 17th December at 4:30pm, followed by festive nibbles.  And they in turn will be joining us for Christmas worship.

Blue Christmas
If you missed the Blue Christmas service on Tuesday evening you can catch up by listening to an audio recording and/or reading the order of service.

BUC Finance Co-ordinator – seeking expressions of interest
Abi Benham-Bannon has been accepted into a PhD program (with scholarship). We’re very excited for her, but also sad to lose her from the Finance Co-ordinator role that she has held for several years.  We’re seeking expressions of interest from members and friends of BUC who might like to apply for this role.
