Blinky the burning koala visits Peter Khalil
Blinky the burning koala will visit the office of federal Labor MP Peter Khalil in the marginal Labor/Greens seat of Wills.  We will rally with Blinky to ask Peter Khalil which side he is on.  Does he support an end to new coal and gas? Is he prepared to stand up to the fossil fuel lobby and work within Labor for the strongest possible action on the climate emergency? Or will he take the side of the coal and gas billionaires and watch as forests and koalas burn? This is a collaborative action supported by a number of groups, including Move Beyond Coal.

WHEN – December 06, 2023 at 2:00pm – 3pm
WHERE – Office of Peter Khalil MP, 466 Sydney Rd, Coburg, VIC 3058, Australia

CoPower – Take the Power back
The Uniting Church of Australia (Vic/Tas) is now a proud member of CoPower, a non-profit cooperative. CoPower’s mission is to take action against the climate crisis, tackle poverty and build community through energy

By switching your congregation’s or your own energy supplier over to Cooperative Power, you’re helping to take the power back from huge energy corporations, for the benefit of people and our planet.

Cooperative Power is a newly formed non-profit cooperative for Australia’s energy sector. Together we’re creating a better way to buy energy – one where we can have our say in how it’s created and how much it costs.
