January 26 – Looking for things to do?

Did you know you were born with Syncopated Rhythm?
So chill out this January 26 weekend and listen to a great story teller, Uncle Kev Carmody. You will hear an amazing story that includes references to Beethoven, Gough Whitlam, school kids and the making of the iconic Australian anthem……   ‘From Little Things Big Things Grow on RN Summer‘ with the ABC listen app.  Great to have a positive vibe happening for Invasion Day.

Australian Sacred Harp Convention
This weekend is the Australian Sacred Harp Convention and it’s in Melbourne, 26th-28th January.
Natalie writes:  This type of singing gives me so much joy and I’d love for others to experience how crazy fun it is. If you like singing, or just like listening to others sing, you will be very welcome! You can come for just a few songs, or stay for both days. It’s loud, the harmonies are very crunchy, and we don’t expect perfection. We laugh, sometimes we cry, and we eat lots of good food during the breaks. No experience needed, no cost to attend, no pressure to commit.

Lenten Study
The Discipleship and Education Committee will be running a Lenten study on Tuesday evenings, 7:30-9:00pm for 6 weeks starting 20 February, 44 Collier Cres. Brunswick, hosted by Peter & Kath Williams.  Further details to come however we will be focussing on the Gospel of Mark.

Let’s Refocus on Climate Action at BUC

2. Update and re-launch the BUC Climate Action Plan in July 2024.
If you are interested in getting involved, please come to our meeting Sunday 25 February at 11 am after worship
