Una Trigg
Wesley Trigg has shared that Una died on Tuesday morning, 22nd September. May the gentle flow of divine compassion hold Wes, their three daughters and their families.  Ian Ferguson
God of eternal love,
you are in every place,
and no space or distance can ever part us from you;
take into your holy keeping
Una from whom we are now separated;
and grant that both she and we,
by drawing nearer to you,
may be drawn nearer to one another.
There will be a private family ceremony for Una on Monday.  A public memorial service will be held at the church when that becomes possible.

Klaus Fiedler
We received tragic news this week.  Klaus, a much loved friend from Germany has died in an accident.  Klaus and his family were members of our congregation for a number of years and have remained in close contact with many of us.  We hold Eva, Christina and Felix in our prayers and pray that they would know the support and love that we have for them here.

Inaugural Meeting for the (Second Wednesday) Book Club
Thanks to those that have shown interest in the new Book Club.  Our first meeting will be a Zoom meeting on Wednesday 14th October at 10.30am. It isn’t too late to join!
Please let me know on 0419 988 972 or foleyclairep@icloud.com if you would like to be part of this group.
The format will involve bringing a book of your choice to share and discuss with the group.  This means there will be a variety of books each month, with an opportunity to ‘spread the love’ or share the books around to others in the group, where possible.  Claire Foley

‘A Prayer, a Plea, a Bird’
The  Wellspring Centre  have invited Julie Perrin to offer some prayer-writing workshops – ‘A Prayer, a Plea, a Bird’
These 2 hour zoom workshops have been quickly filled for September and repeated in October. If you are keen there is now a third workshop date : Tuesday 10 November 10am-12noon.
A workshop for people who’d like to write the prayers on their hearts. I learnt the art of writing the short and ancient prayer form, the ‘collect’ in a workshop at Whitley with Padraig O’Tuama. Since then I’ve been writing these brief prayers and exploring ways of naming the presence of God. If you would like to join me there will be time in the workshop to practise writing short prayers and the possibility (but not necessity) to share your writing.
Cost:  $45 (full cost) / $40 (concession/WellSpring members).
Contact Wellspring (scroll to date) or call (03) 9855 0277.

September 25 – Global Day of Climate Action
Organised in Australia by SS4C on Friday 25th September on the theme: #FundOurFutureNotGas. Right now, the government is deciding how to spend billions in public money to help with the Covid-19 crisis. It’s a critical opportunity for them to fund our future, by creating jobs that will Care for Country, fast-track solutions to climate change, and transition Australia to renewable energy. See https://www.schoolstrike4climate.com/buildourfuture for details of actions across Australia or to organise and register your own COVID safe action!
