Church Camp
Love in Truth & Action
– This year the Church Camp committee is very excited to welcome you back to our old stomping ground, Adekate Lodge, as part of the 2021 Brunswick Uniting Church Camp. Save the date for 23rd – 25th April to be part of a fun, relaxing, and affirming weekend in fellowship with our BUC community. Don’t miss out on this chance to meet new folks and catch up again with old friends over a meal, a bushwalk, or a good old fashioned sing-along. Keep an eye out for registration details to be sent out in the next week.
If you are keen to get involved, or have any questions about the event, please contact Courtney Rohde, cerohde1@gmail.com / 0448 233 321.

Worship at BUC
Sunday 18th April – We will farewell our handyman Laurie Bonney as he prepares to retire at the end of the month.
Sunday 25th April
 – We will welcome Rev. Graeme Garrett as our preacher while Ian is participating in the church camp.

Name Tags
We started bringing the name tags out of storage late in March.  As part of our COVID safe awareness you are asked to pick yours up from the bench, wear it, take it home and bring it back again to wear next time you come to worship.  As we continue to wear our masks during worship using name tags will help us to greet each other by name whether we have been part of the congregation for a long time our have joined more recently.  If you would like a name tag made for you please email saide.cameron@bigpond.com and also request your preferred colour (red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple or pink).

INVITATION to New Study Group
Are you interested in joining a small group with others who wish to – delve into the Bible, read and discuss a book, follow up on the sermon topic, see how our social justice projects align with the teachings of Jesus, or?  If this interests you, we are having an initial catch-up after worship on Sunday May 9th in the Hall when we can discuss frequency and venue for the group.  Any queries please contact Kirsty Brown 0410 510 305 or Helen Rowe 0423 009 813. This initiative is supported by the Discipleship and Education Committee.\

Olive Way Door roster
Now that we are offering tea & coffee after worship it is time to reinstate this very important roster.  The Olive Way sliding glass door offers easy access to Sydney Road with a simple push of the green button.  Therefore, in order to ensure the safety of our young people two people are needed to sit in the Olive Way for about 20 minutes after worship.  Regulars on this roster find it very relaxing.  Please contact Saide Cameron, 0407 096 743 to offer yourself for the roster any time from now until the end of May.

May Olive Branch
Our next monthly newsletter will be published on Sunday 2nd May.  Please send your reports, stories, news, notices, photos and other contributions to saide.cameron@bigpond.com by Monday 26th April.

Olive Pages
Our Directory of contact details and other information was emailed a week ago.  If you have not received the email or would like a printed copy please let Saide know, saide.cameron@bigpond.com
