Our rosters are prepared for a two month period.  These rosters are going to be big with the last week of March being Holy Week and Ash Wednesday in the middle of February.  On behalf of the worship committee – thank you to the regulars for the many ways you contribute to the leadership and work of worship.  We love to welcome new people to the rosters.  It’s a great way to get to know people.  Find out how you can join in the fun.

INVITATION to join the Discipleship and Education Committee at BUC.
The Committee is delegated by Brunswick Uniting Church Council to oversees opportunities for adult Christian education and deepening of faith and discipleship. It is built upon the premise that as Christians we are always seeking to deepen our faith in God; both at the personal relational level and in our knowledge and understanding of God and the Bible as we endeavour to have an intelligent and world engaging Christian faith.  We are looking for new members.

Planning for Lent
The worship committee is meeting next week, Wednesday 17th January, to plan for the Season of Lent.  Lent is a season of preparation and discipline that begins with Ash Wednesday and concludes at sundown on Holy Saturday.  During the forty weekdays and six Sundays in Lent, the Church remembers the life and ministry of Jesus and renews its commitment to him in Christian discipleship.   Look out for an update next week on how you can be involved in shaping our worship during this season.

Christmas Bowl thank you
