Synod Climate Paper Discussion

Join the Climate Action Group after worship to reflect on the discussion paper called: “How can the Synod reach net zero emissions by 2040?”

All members of the Uniting Church community are invited to read the documents and respond, if they wish, by the end of May 2023. A report will then be produced, based on the responses, and presented to the Synod meeting in November 2023.

Members of our congregation are invited to discuss a number of the key questions in table groups and share our thoughts on paper.  Responses will be collated and shared with the JAM committee and then Church Council.  Once approved they will be forwarded to the Synod as our response.

Read the discussion paper or, if you don’t have time, read the four page Executive Summary sheet in preparation.
