Let Us Help Create a Circle of Peace Felt Around the World
Create a work of art using handmade felt which symbolizes peace or unconditional love
to give to & receive from your peace partner somewhere else in the world!
Please contact Ann on 0422 842 244 if you are interested in taking part on 27/8/17 after Worship and during our community lunch (soup, rolls and fresh fruit). All materials will be supplied but please bring your own wool oddments and ideas along! It will be fun!
WHY? For International Day of Peace, we have the opportunity to create a handmade felt that symbolises peace or unconditional love to give and receive to our peace partner somewhere else in the world! It is a way to connect every country and a symbol of peace to be FELT in hearts across the world.
HOW? On the 27th of August as we gather together for the community lunch, please join me in creating a wet felted piece that reflects Brunswick Uniting’s experience of peace and inclusion for 2017. The finished product will be sent to our FELT partner (to be determined and located somewhere in the world!) and in exchange, we will receive their felted piece. It is a symbolic celebration of the International Day of Peace, 21st September 2017 and can be displayed on that day.
