Sharing God’s love through the Christmas Bowl

Thank you for joining once again with churches across Australia to share God’s love through the Christmas Bowl.
Today, more people than ever before have been forced to flee their homes because of conflict and disaster. People like you and me who, through no fault of their own, have had to leave behind everything they know and love.
As more and more human tragedies fade from newspaper headlines, lifesaving aid is being stretched too thin, leaving many refugees without hope for the future. In the face of such suffering, the legacy of Rev. Frank Byatt, the founder of the Christmas Bowl, has never been more important.
The Christmas Bowl not only expresses our unity in Christ, it provides a powerful way for Australian Christians to share hope through practical Christian action, led by our committed local partners working in the toughest conditions around the world.

Every year we support the Christmas Bowl Appeal financially by buying beautiful craft, tantalizing treats and delicious preserves at the FUNdraising Stalls after worship, this year on 3rd & 10th December, and making our own tax-deductible donations either on the Act for Peace BUC page or using the envelopes provided at worship.

Lots of great things on offer:  craft, baked goods, preserves, plants, gift cards, Christmas cakes & puddings, Gingerbread houses (4 only) …

All proceeds will support the projects sponsored by the Christmas Bowl.  This year the projects identified are:

  • Hope for families forced to flee (Afghanistan)
  • Bringing peace to refugees in Ethiopia
  • Finding joy in resilience (Syrian refugees)
  • Showing love to the most vulnerable (Sri Lankan refugees)
