Worship – Pentecost 12A

On Pentecost 12, 23rd August, Dave and Clara introduced us to the story of Moses.  Julie Perrin and Ian reflected on the story of the birth of Moses setting it alongside an indigenous story from East Gippsland. They received permission to show clips from a video made by artists from the Wurinbeena Aboriginal Arts and Cultural Centre in Lakes Entrance.  Details below.

Thank you to Fringe Dweller Films for permission to use the footage of Elaine Terrick from the film “Jambi – Parts One and Two”.  Watch the full videos here

Listen to Kelley Nikondeha speak about the birth of Moses on the Inverse Podcast and in her book:  “DEFIANT: What the Women of Exodus Teach Us about Freedom”.

Candle Story project – This project is an invitation for each of us to share the story of the candle we are lighting in our homes or the candle holder.  Read Julie’s story here.
