We have travelled the long Lenten journey with Jesus reflecting on the gifts of the covenant, the rainbow arch of God’s love, the promise of descendants, the gift of the Ten Commandments, the promise of healing in the desert and the law of love written on our hearts.  This week we have entered Jerusalem, remembered Jesus’ last Supper and travelled the long hard way to the Cross.  On Easter Sunday we gathered at dawn to light the new Christ and candle and later at 9:30 we found ourselves in front of an empty tomb.  Christ is risen!

  • Read the Order of Service here.
  • At the conclusion of the service we gathered on the steps for the blessing accompanied by a bagpipe lament, offered by Daniel Whelan.  Watch two versions of the video here – video 1, video 2

We gathered in the garden at dawn for worship on Easter Sunday at Brunswick Uniting Church.

Easter Day 2021

Christ is risen!  He is risen indeed!

We began our worship on the steps, listeneng to Mark’s gospel and joining the Easter proclamation.  We moved into the worship space for the transformation of the empty tomb, reconnecting with the symbols of our Lenten journey and celebrating the new covenant with Holy Communion.
