Julie Perrin welcomed us to worship on 8th May. We met Tabitha, the only woman in the New Testament to be individually named as a disciple of Jesus, a woman whose death brought the apostle Peter hurrying back to Joppa. Tabitha, who embodied the presence of Jesus in good works and generous acts, especially acts of making, knitting and sewing. Tabitha the first person to have a taste of the resurrection like Jesus. Tabitha, whose name means gazelle.
In preparation for the service we invited the congregation to share photos of garments made for them with love. Photos of these garments were shared during the Children’s time.
