Prayers of the people
Watch or 50:00
Invisible God you work your mysteries in the world in ways beyond our understanding.
And so we come to you with our hearts full of prayers for the world.
We live in turbulent times, shaped by war, disease, climate change, injustice.
We long for a time when all people are welcomed and have a place to call home
when the earth is tended with love and held as a gift to be celebrated
and everyone lives and loves in harmony with all creation.
Help us to be your voice, hands and heart as we work together for this future.
Jesus, first born of all creation, peace maker, you work your mysteries through story.
And so we come to you with our hearts full of prayers for the church.
We live in strange and exciting times, brimming with possibilities
as we, the church, finds ourselves on the margins, seeking opportunities to find
new ways to tell your story, to shape and be shaped by the wider community
to celebrate and share your gifts of love, joy, peace and compassion.
Help us to be your voice, hands and heart as we do this work together.
Holy Spirit, life giving breath, you work your mysteries through our fragile bodies.
And so we come to you with our hearts full of prayers for our community.
We live in a time of constant change and upheaval, still reeling from the pandemic
uncertain about the future and worried about everyone’s health and wellbeing.
We are grateful for all the ways we gather as community, love given and received,
prayers offered, stories told, hope proclaimed, suffering acknowledged, compassion shared.
Help us to be your voice, hands and heart as we care for and support each other.
