Vote for our ‘Contemplative Garden’ project
Visit pickmyproject.vic.gov.au and vote for our Contemplative Garden.  See the post on the home page or pick up a leaflet at worship for all the details.  Encourage everyone you know who lives within a 5km radius of Brunswick to vote for our project.

Pick my project – Rainbow Connection
The Asylum Seeker Welcome Centre needs your help. In response to a need articulated by some of our clients, we are trying to get an LGBTIQ+ Asylum Seeker group off the ground.  We have put in for a grant through the Pick My Project grants initiative to help us with this.  However this initiative requires people to vote for our project in order to be successful.  This is where you come in.  If you live within 5KM of Brunswick, could you jump on to the Pick my Project website and vote for ‘Rainbow Connection’.  The provision of this program will help LGBTIQ asylum seekers access a safe and welcoming space, while providing them with workshops and training to assist them through their protection process.  And if you don’t live within 5km from Brunswick, but you know someone who does- please share with them!  Voting closes September 17th.  We really appreciate your support-thanks!

The Birds
Abi Benham-Bannon’s friend Moz, who is one of the political prisoners/refugees on PNG, has released a beautiful new song:  The Birds, by Moz with Ruth Mundy.  It’s about “separation and a longing for freedom”. He’s trying to spread word about his music and message.  Please pick up a leaflet at worship or read the story here and scan the QR Code to access the song and story.
