Personal News

A personal announcement from Ken Morrison
Hi Everybody,
I’ve got a big personal announcement and request to make, but first a few lines of background.
For a very long time I’ve struggled with depression and generally feeling not “right”.  Eventually, a bit over 18 months ago, I gained a sudden understanding of my unease.  In spite of presenting to both myself and everyone else as a man, at a fundamental level, I realised that my natural identity was that of a woman.  Thus, I am transgender.  This was a big surprise to me!
While I quickly felt confident in my genuine gender identity, I’ve spent a lot of time with prayer and introspection as well as multiple sessions with a specialist psychologist, all confirming my initial insight.
I’ve “come out” to a handful of people, including my family, Ian and a small support group from the church.  It’s now time for me to be presenting full-time as the woman I am inside.  So from now on, I’ll be grateful if you could address me as Kenna rather than Ken and use “she/her” pronouns.
I’m happy to engage in further positive discussion by email, phone, or on the BUC Facebook page, where Ian is posting an equivalent version of this.
Thanks!
-Kenna  (formerly Ken)
