Ordination of Yoo Mi Park
The Ordination of Yoo Mi Park was postponed due to the snap lockdown and will now take place on Sunday 14th March, 2:00pm at Brunswick UC.  We are so delighted to be hosting this special event for Yoo Mi.  Yoo Mi provided pastoral care supply ministry while Ian was offering supply ministry in Bairnsdale last year.  The service will be live streamed on our BUC YouTube Channel

Cupboard with a story
Callum and Kristin have retired a cupboard that that was owned by Eva and Klaus and had some “special” Klaus modifications made to it.   It has been through a few owners, and the 2 front feet are a little shaky, so this move will probably be it’s last one before they fall apart completely.  Contact Kristin if you are interested, 0425 769 645.  Only available for 2 weeks, after that it will be disposed of.

Community News

Palm Sunday Rally
Palm Sunday (28th March)
is an important opportunity to raise awareness of the continuing injustice and cruelty experienced by refugees and people who are seeking asylum.  This year Palm Sunday actions are calling for:

  • Permanent visas for all refugees
  • Basic income support for people in the community while their refugee status is assessed
  • Release ALL Refugees from Detention
  • An end to offshore processing

You can support Palm Sunday by attending an event on the day (all actions will be organised to be Covid-safe), sharing material on social media from the Speaking Out for Refugees FB page, posting your own messages of support, sharing information about the Justice and a Fair Go for Refugees Webinar, and taking action online.
