Wider Church News

Crosslight – June 2021
This month’s edition has been delivered but we won’t be able to hand it until we return from lockdown.  Meanwhile view it online.

Red Shield Appeal
The annual door knocking fundraiser for the Salvation Army was to be held last weekend, 29th-30th May.  Sadly this was not possible for the second year in a row.  Alison Templar (Lieutenant, Brunswick Salvos) has invited our congregation to support the work of the our local Salvo neighbours.  Make a donation using this link.   Find out how many free meals the Salvos provided for vulnerable people during lockdown in 2020.  And find out here all the other ways people in our community were supported.

Sacred Edge Festival
The planning for Sacrededge September 3-5, 2021 is going well and is very exciting. If you are an artist, you are warmly encouraged to consider participating in the Sacrededge Art Exhibition. And to complete the Expression of Interest Form.  Your art might reflect on the First Nations, Refugee, LGBTIQ and Sustainability themes of the festival. Or how your art practice supports inclusivity and wellbeing for you and the wider community.  The annual Sacrededge Art Exhibition 2021 will be exhibited at the Queenscliff Uniting Church during the Sacrededge Festival September 3-5, and then through until September 21.  Please feel very welcome to submit an Expression of Interest for this exhibition by Friday July 23, using the form in the information flyer attached.
