Ian on leave
Ian Ferguson 
will be on leave from Monday 6th – Monday 20th August.  If you require pastoral care during this time or become aware of anyone in need of care please contact a member of the Pastoral Care Compassion Team:  Glenice Cook, Gwen Arnold, Leanne Salau.
During this time we will welcome Carlynne Nunn as our preacher on 12th August and Geoff Thompson on 19th August.
Carlynne is a member of our congregation and a candidate for the ministry.  Geoff is also a member of our congregation and the Co-ordinator of Studies – Systematic Theology

Congregational Meeting

Keeping Children Safe – You are invited to be part of a safe place!
Workshop No 1 – A Safe Church Awareness workshop  will be offered on Saturday 11th August at 1.30-4.15 pm.  This Workshop is for all who have never attended Basic Training including all leaders and volunteers in Children and Youth activities and all Appointed leaders at BUC.  Anyone who is interested may also attend.  The trainer is Rev Tony Duncan.
Workshop No 2– Advanced Safe Church training will be offered for people who have completed the Basic Training in previous years.
This workshop will be held on Saturday 25th Augusat 1.30-4pm and will include scenarios and role plays facilitated by actors.  There will also be an update on Synod and BUC processes.

Student House Working Bee
It’s time for a Working Bee at the Student House.  Everyone is invited to head on down to the Student Houses after worship on 19th August, from 11:30am-1pm.  The focus of the working bee will be gardening and general cleaning up.  Your rewards will be time spent working together and a delicious lunch at 1pm.  Bring whatever tools you think will help with the work and please RSVP to Valentina Satvedi Leydon, our Interim Student House Support Worker, 0456 099 448 by 15th August to assist with catering for lunch.

Deepening Faith 2018Faith Reflection and Bible Study.
On Thursday evenings in September you are invited to come together for a meal and a time of faith reflection and bible study. A chance to explore and deepen, learn and grow, reenergise and recommit in your faith.   If you are considering baptism or confirmation this is a good jumping off place, but all are welcome no matter the stage of your faith.  Thursdays 6, 13, 20, 27 September, 7:00pm for soup and bread. At the Manse, 60 Blyth St, Brunswick.
