Worship – Lent 2
We welcome Peter Blair, Olive Way Pastor as our preacher on Sunday 28th March while Ian supports the Synod 2021 meeting. The service will be led by Dave Hall, Children, Youth & Young Adult Pastor together with members of the Student Household program who will be blessed during the service.  We will farewell Valentina and Tom Satvedi Leydon as they prepare to move to Launceston where Valentina will take up a placement as the Minister of the Word with the Pilgrim congregation in Launceston.

Singing for climate action
Stay on after worship on Sunday 28th March to sing for climate action.  Gather out by the indigenous garden at approximately 10:40am.  We will be singing climate change focussed lyrics to the tune of ‘Were you there’, conducted by Shawn Whelan. The recording will be uploaded to the social media pages of the Green Faith International to promote the 11th March Sacred People, Sacred Earth worldwide actions.

The next meeting of the BUC Climate Action Group (CAG) will be online at 4.30pm on Saturday 6th MarchAll are welcome to join this zoom meeting and support the Church Council with the implementation of the BUC Climate Action Plan.

Holy Week Worship planning

Second Wednesday of the Month Book Club – Back to Zoom for now
BUC’s daytime book club has one or two vacancies.  We have reverted to zoom meetings for the time being as we wish to ensure the safety of all our members.
Next meeting:  10 March 2021
Time: 11am
Where: by Zoom
Format: Bring a book of your choice, to discuss.   Each member comes to book club with a book they have read.  Everyone brings a different book to the meeting.  Each member talks about the book they have read.
Once we can meet again in person, and if we are willing, we can offer our book as a loan to another member of the club.
This way we each hear about five or six different books each month.
