Working Bee 1
The floor is all done and looks fantastic.  It was so lovely to see the space being used today to support Maggie and her family as they spent time with family and friends remembering and celebrating their beloved Julian.
All the furniture and other bits and pieces now need to be redistributed so that our spaces can be returned to their regular use.  Please come along to the Working Bee on Saturday 26th January, 11am-1pm.  Come for a little while, come for the whole time, be ready to help.  We’ll be sorting as we go so that we can avoid unnecessarily re-cluttering the spaces.

Worship roster
The February & March roster will be available on Sunday 27th January. There are gaps in the rosters for leading Prayers of the People, Morning Tea Sound System and Laptop operators, minding the Olive Way Door.  You can be on just once every two months, more often and more than one roster if you wish. If you would like to participate on the roster please contact Saide, 0407 096 743 for more information.

February Olive Branch
Next month’s edition will be published on Sunday 3rd February. Please email any stories, reports, photos, news, information to saide.cameron@bigpond.com by Friday 25th January.  Thank you.

Leaders’ Retreat
Are you a leader at BUC – a committee member, roster volunteer, SMP teacher, a leader of any kind? There are lots of us! And it’s great to get together at the start of the year to reflect on where we are and where we might be heading.
The 2019 Leaders’ Retreat will be on Saturday 2nd February, most likely at BUC (venue to be confirmed). The plan is for overlapping groups of leaders to meet at different times:
– all leaders who can attend, on Saturday afternoon from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at BUC
– followed by (optional) drinks/dinner out together nearby
– then Church Council will reconvene on Sunday after morning tea, say 11:30 – 4:00, with lunch provided
If you can make it, please let Shawn know so we can plan for the number of people who’ll be attending: info@shawnwhelan.com.au

Sunday Morning Program Blessing
During worship on Sunday 3rd February the Sunday Morning Program will be blessed for the beginning of the new year.  Children starting school or moving from one group to another will receive a gift.  Leaders and assistants will be commissioned.  Parents and the congregation will make promises and commitments.  It takes a village to raise a child.
Contact Janet Watson Kruse, Interim Children & Families Worker, 0425 71 71 79 for more information.

Working Bee 2
The Property Committee is holding a short working bee after worship on Sunday 10th February.  This is an opportunity to tidy up around the place after the holidays. Please plan to stay on for an hour or so and then enjoy a simple sausage sizzle and fruit platters lunch.  Contact Ray Cameron, 0407 883 654, to offer your assistance.  We also need people to manage the BBQ, offers of fruit platters are also welcome.

Table Church
Table Church is scheduled to recommence on Sunday 10th February.  Have you thought of attending?  Wondering what Table Church is?  We meet from 6-8pm over a simple meal of soup and bread.  We share in a simple Liturgy at the beginning of a new week.  We recall highs and lows since we last met and pray for ourselves and others. Attendance is very flexible – you attend when you are able.
To get started for the year we need a host household for 10 February.  Contact Helen on 0423 009 813 if you can offer your home or if you would simply like to come along to Table Church and find out more.
