BUC News

Holy Communion
On Sunday 3rd May, the first Sunday of the month, we will observe the practice of a communion of the empty hands.  We will not be sharing bread and juice.  We will reflect on Jesus’ words ‘Do this in remembrance of me’.

May Olive Branch
The May edition will be published on Sunday 3rd May.  Please email your contributions to saide.cameron@bigpond.com by Monday 27th April.  If you have something you want to contribute and need a little more time please let me know so that I can plan accordingly.

Household of God project
In this time of physical isolation everyone is invited to contribute to the BUC’s Household of God Creative Arts project.
This project is an opportunity for people to offer a creative work in whatever medium you choose – painting, drawing, knitting, craft, music, poetry, story, storytelling, dance, videos, and whatever else comes to mind.
Our plan is to provide an online space for these works to be shared and later when we can all meet again to host an exhibition and possibly a FUNdraising event.  More details coming soon.  In the meantime please view Dave’s video and start being creative.

Christian Meditation
A BUC Meditation WhatsApp group has started following the Christian Meditation tradition of John Main (World Community for Christian Meditation).  The group will meditate together at a set time for around 20 minutes.  Members of the group can also make comments and support one another by texting.  It isn’t anything fancy but the idea is for each of us to meditate together in spirit.
We now have around 10 members. Please contact Richard if you would like to join this group (0407796429).
The times we “meet” are:  Monday at 5.30pm, Tuesday at 9am, Wednesday at 5.30pm Thursday at 9am, Friday at 5.30pm

Olive Pesto
The Olive Pesto group has launched a Facebook group to help members connect and create.  If you would like to join this wonderfully creative community simply make a request to join the group or contact Linda Wannan (send a text message – 0405 470 568‬).
