Another BIG DAY – 23rd February
This coming Sunday is Transfiguration Sunday and also a day of blessings. We will …
- commission Valentina and Yoo Mi for their supply ministry roles and bless our newly reformed Ministry Team
- bless the Sunday Morning Program students, teachers & assistants
- bless the Student House program students and committee
And in this time of blessings we will make commitments to support all those who have been commissioning and blessed.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held after worship. The main agenda items for the meeting will be to receive The Olive Harvest, our collection of Annual Reports, together with the presentation of the 2019 Financial Report and 2020 Budget. The Olive Harvest is available here.
After the meeting everyone is invited to stay on for a ‘Bring a Plate to Share’ lunch. All contributions are welcome.
Ash Wednesday and the Season of Lent
The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on 26th February. We gather for worship at 7:30pm. Ash Wednesday derives its name from the practice of placing ashes on people’s foreheads as a sign of mourning and repentance to God. During the season of Lent we will set aside time to reflect on what is on our hearts together with some of the big questions arising from Jesus’ ministry.
The Talk Faith group will offer further opportunities for reflection on the 4th Thursdays, 27th February and 26th March.
The Discipleship & Education Committee will host a time of reflection and discussion over lunch after worship on 8th, 15th and 22nd March.
