Riding the Waves – personal reflections on living through COVID
We are initiating a project to share our experiences of the pandemic. As a way of gaining insight to what is happening for different members of our community, we have asked Peter McKinnon to make contact and interview some of you with a view to writing up your stories. We would then publish these in our church publications, on our website and through our social media groups, and invite responses from others.   See the story here for all the details.

Act for Peace Ration Challenge
A message from Hannah Denison – Hi folks, in the midst of this disheartening situation we find ourselves in this year, I have joined the Act for Peace Ration Challenge as a way to contribute something positive to the world, find new ways to feel part of a community, and learn to get by with a little less.  The challenge runs from 13-19 September, and if you’d like to support my efforts I’d be very grateful.  Donate here.

Season of Creation
The worship committee will offer a Season of Creation beginning on 20th September.  We’ll be focussing on celebrating creation and responding to the Climate Crisis.  You are encouraged to read our  Climate Action Plan.

Recording Christmas Carols
The worship committee is planning ahead for the Christmas worship season.  A big part of our plan is to record 12 Christmas Carols before the end of November.  If you would to lend your voice to one or more of these recordings please respond to the Christmas Carols Survey Monkey.  One of our music coordinators – Natalie Sims, Elaine Potter, Alistair Hunter, Shawn Whelan – will give you a call.

October & November roster
The invitation to participate in our next roster will be offered next week.  If you would like to offer a Bible reading please call Saide, 0407 096 743.

A new Book Club
Do you want to share the joy of reading with others?  Claire Foley would love to hear from anyone who wants to join a daytime group, meeting at the Church (eventually). If there is enough interest the group may make a start online before we can physically meet.  The format will involve bringing a book of your choice to share and discuss with the group.  Contact Claire for more information or to express your interest in joining, 0419 988 972.
