We are so excited. The Olive Arts Collective is returning to the Youth Hall on Wednesday 3rd February, 10am-noon. We are looking forward to welcoming artists back into the physical space to share stories and make art together.
Ann Soo has stepped back from the role of Olive Arts Coordinator after 5 years. We are so grateful to Ann for creating a community where care and creativity has flourished so abundantly. Ann will continue to be part of the community. We welcome Bev Evans, a familiar face in the Olive Way community, as the new Olive Arts Co-ordinator. Bev is a practising artist, has volunteered with Olive Arts and has contributed art works to both major exhibitions. Bev also volunteers in the Olive Way and has filled in as the chef for Wednesday lunches. She has extensive experience as an art teacher and is looking forward to her new role. Bev will be supported by Leanne Salau. We offer our thanks to Leanne for her continued involvement in and generous support of the Olive Arts community.
Phil Kreveld, lead artist, will also continue to support artists as they explore their creativity. We take this opportunity to farewell and thank Graeme Galloway. Graeme was also one of our lead artists offering thoughtful and inspiring guidance to artists as they worked. Graeme supported the SMP program to create the mural on south facing wall of the Youth Hall. If you would like to offer a personal word of thanks to Graeme please send your message to Leanne Salau, leannesalau@hotmail.com
