Uluru Statement from the Heart study group

The BUC Walking Together with First and Second Peoples Group invites anyone interested to join us in a study guide of the Uluru Statement from the Heart.

This study guide has been prepared by Uniting Church in Australia for congregations and other small groups on the Uluru Statement from the Heart.

The Assembly recommends this resource as one important way members of the Uniting Church can better understand Sovereignty and the determination of First Nations Peoples for Voice, Treaty and Truth-Telling.

Assembly Consultant Covenanting Stuart McMillan has highly recommended the resource for congregations and small groups.

“Walking Together as First and Second Peoples with integrity means entering more deeply into relationship, growing in understanding, and sharing the suffering and joys of life. In the Statement we hear the heart of First Nations Peoples cry for justice in this ancient land.”

We will present this study on the second Monday of each month at 7.30 pm, by zoom, starting on 11 October 2021.
The programme will take five to six sessions.  There will be a break over Christmas.
