Sydney Road Street Party

This year BUC has chosen the theme of Climate Crisis for the Sydney Road Street Party.
This will give us a great opportunity to engage the wider community and have a conversation about Climate Crisis.
So we are planning to have the following activities:

1. The Rainbow will be out again, we will encourage passers-by to write notes in response to the question to ‘What is one thing you can do in response to climate change?” and place them on the rainbow.
2. Hand out our own created postcards that people can write on and send to politicians
3. Hand out our own created bookmarks with a link to our Earth button on one side and slices of Ann’s paintings on the other
4. Offer iced water and scones with jam & cream in the youth hall with the invitation to appreciate our murals and any other artworks we have available to display
5. Open the worship space for prayer and reflection – the worship committee will be responsible for this space and whatever happens there with respect to the season of Lent.
6. Invite Love Makes A Way (LMAW) and Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC)  to participate
