The Justice & Mission Committee is delighted to be hosting an exhibition featuring paintings by an artist in detention**, scratch boards by women from the Asylum Seeker Welcome Centre and a new work by Johnny Salameh (the creator of No Direction which hangs in our chapel space near the Tower Room). The new work, Dictator, was awarded the Judges prize at the Sacred Edge Festival at Queenscliff last month.
The exhibition will be launched during worship on 16th June
and feature as part of worship on 23rd June.
It will also be open during Olive Way hours, T-Th, 10am-1pm
Everyone is invited to dinner at the Asylum Seeker Welcome Centre
to celebrate Refugee Week on Tuesday 18th June, 5-8pm.

and his sister Miream about Johnny’s new work, 7:30pm in the church.

hosted by MAFA (Melbourne Artists for Asylum Seekers).
