Church families and kids from the electorate of Wills are invited to share their concerns about climate change with our current Federal Member of Parliament Peter Khalil.
Time: Sunday May 15, 12.30pm-1.00pm (note small time change)
Where: St John’s West Brunswick, corner Melville and Victoria St
What: A chance for kids to share their concerns with Peter Khalil via artwork (bring it along with you on the day). We also welcome kids to read or share a few words with Peter to explain their concern.
This will be a very brief event (15-30 mins) hosted by Rev. Len Firth. There will be a brief introduction, children will be invited to present their artwork to Peter Khalil (and say a few words about it if they like). We will take some photographs to share with church media outlets to spread the word to wider communities.
The event is organised by Christians Together for Climate (Wills) a non-partisan community group with links to TEAR and Common Grace. We are deeply concerned about the impacts of climate change on the whole of creation, and seek stronger action from the Australian government.
