More than Cut & Paste

Collage – techniques and skills training with Priscilla Manthey and Ann Soo.

Shut down your computer! Get back to cutting with scissors and pull out the paste!

Discover collage, learn its history, experiment with papers and themes from nature and more!!

How? We are offering a safe and comfortable space for those interested to learn and further develop the technique of collage in a supportive group setting.

When? The workshops will be run over a six-week period from October through to November after worship on the following dates: 28/10, 4/11, 11/11 and 18/11 (with two further dates to be advised.

Where? The workshops will take place in the Youth Hall from 11am – 1.30pm on the dates listed above. All are welcome to the workshops and there is no cost involved. Each session will have a focal point or theme. Participants are welcome to create individual works or collaborative pieces.

With Who?

  • Priscilla Manthey is a trained artist and art teacher from the Camberwell and Slade School of art in London. She has 10 years of teaching experience at Enfied College in art (TAFE equivalent in the UK). Her experience and skills in collage will be shared with participants including use of colour, tone and shape, creating aesthetic through to framing the work.
  • Ann Soo is an untrained curious art maker, social worker and transpersonal art therapist who believes in facilitating gentle and safe spaces where everyone can feel inspired for creativity to emerge. Ann will co-ordinate this event.
