On-line Electric Vehicle Forum
Cars are responsible for half of all transport emissions in Australia.  So, switching to an electric vehicle (EV) sounds like it would be great for the planet, but how viable is it in Australia in terms of cost, availability and re-charging? UCAN have asked Dr Jake Whitehead, of the Electric Vehicle Council to speak to these and other issues as well as answer participant questions.
The Electric Vehicle Forum is aimed at the Uniting Church community but any interested people are very welcome.
So please feel free to share this information with friends and family and in your other church and community networks.
The forum will take place on Wednesday September 7, from 7.00pm – 8.30pm. You can register for the event here and the Zoom link will be emailed to you before the evening.
If you have any questions please contact Jon O’Brien at joobrien@unting.org or 0477 725 528

Contemplative Tuesdays for climate justice – today!
There are now 12 weeks until November 7th, the start of COP27. A multi-faith group meets weekly at 11 – 11.30 am AEST on Tuesdays, to pray and meditate for an outcome of COP27 that brings us much closer to climate justice. See more here, including the link to join.
This is an open group and would warmly welcome anyone who would like to meditate in silence with like-minded supporters of climate justice.
