BUC hosts a pageant on Christmas Eve to tell the story of Christ’s nativity in response to what we are seeing, noticing, experiencing in our community and in the world around us.  For many years we have been blessed through the creativity of people within the congregation to offer a unique telling and exploration of what the birth of Jesus has to say to us in our time.

A team is gathered – writer, director, producer, choir leader, music co-ordinator – to talk about a theme to shape the pageant.  Then the net is spread wider inviting musicians, actors (no experience required, just a desire to have fun), an AV team (experience definitely desirable), singers, a support crew to bring the pageant to life.

The first pageant conversation for 2026 will be after worship on Sunday 16th August.  Come along and share your ideas to help make a start on how we went tell the story of the birth of Jesus this year.

Visit the Pageant page for a look at what we’ve offered in previous years.
