Reminder that artworks are to be delivered Saturday 4 October (2-4) and Sunday 5 October (11-1)
This year is the 800th anniversary of the composition St. Francis of Assisi’s ‘The Canticle of the Creatures‘ (aka as The Canticle of the Sun), a hymn of praise and thanksgiving to God. The exhibition features artwork that respond to the call within this canticle to be in relationship with creation, to care for and celebrate the gifts that we can all share.

Children’s corner
An exciting new invitation …
We are creating a special section in the exhibition for contributions from children and young people to share and acknowledge their perspective on caring for and celebrating creation.
If you are a parent, grandparent, godparent, aunty, uncle or have any connections with this cohort of artists please invite them to contribute an artwork in response to our exhibition theme.
The Exhibition

We invite you to immerse yourself in this canticle and to create an original artwork
that celebrates your relationship with and care for creation.
Friday 10 October to Sunday 26 October at Brunswick Uniting Church.
Artworks will be displayed/installed throughout
the worship space, Olive Way and the Community Hall.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for lunch on 14th September. A guide pack for Open Hours hosts is being prepared.
Open Hours hosts
Offer for 90 minutes or more per session. Invite a friend to join you. We plan to have 3 people hosting in the space throughout the open hours. You will be provided with a checklist, postcards to hand out and other relevant resources (when we work out what they all are). See detailed role description.
Events (Opening Night and Performance Event)
- Setting up and welcoming, arrive an hour early
- Organising/assisting with catering, arrive an hour early, help with serving and clean up
- Packing up, stay around for an hour or so afterwards
- AV team – sound, laptop, livestream, regular rostered people will be approached, but please feel free to offer

Installing and taking down the exhibition
These are big jobs, especially installing. We need people who
- are fit, agile, can climb ladders, manage the hanging system, and/or
- have a good eye for art and creative use of spaces
