A space for healing

While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child. (Luke 2:6)

Blue Christmas offered a quiet space for people to grieve, remember loved ones who have died, look back over a difficult year, seek peace in troubled times or simply take some time away from the busyness of this particular time of the year.

During the service, we heard the Christmas story read in 4 sections, lit the Advent candles for hope, peace, joy and love, listened to reflections and responded to the Advent themes with simple actions.  We celebrated Holy Communion.

This service was not live-streamed.  The complete order of service is available here.  It includes photos and links to the songs (Christmas Carols from our lockdown recordings and candle lighting songs recorded during the service).  We hope that this will assist you in your participation in the Blue Christmas experience if you were unable to join us in person.
