Caitlin Mullen has been appointed to the CY&YA Interim Worker role.  Caitlin will begin immediately and will be acting in a 10 hour per week caretaker role until a permanent worker is appointed. Join the JAM committee for a special screening of the film Bag It at the church after Food Co-op on Saturday 19th August. BYO plastic free lunch to share and enjoy the film and conversation after the screening.

After worship on Sunday 27th August everyone is invited to a Congregation lunch of warm nourishing soups, rolls and fruit platters hosted by the Pastoral Care Community Team. Tess, Rachel and Kristin will accept all offers of help on the day with set up, serving and pack up. Please let Tess know if you can help out by making a pot of soup, 0406 597 620. You are also invited to join in the Felting for Peace Workshop  during which we will make a wet felted piece as a reflection and recognition of International Day of Peace.

World Week for Peace will be held from 17th-24th September. We are fortunate to have Rev. Joan Fisher, a participant in the EAPPI program, as our preacher on 17th September and also to speak at a special afternoon tea on Saturday 16th September, 2-4pm hosted by the Pastoral Care Community Team, at 26 Frederick St. Details here.

The most fun you can have sitting down – Glitter Balls & Big Hair, Alistair’s Musical Bingo, on Saturday 16th September, from 7pm. This is a FUNdraising event for the 2018 Palestine Israel Ecumenical Network Speaking tour for which our congregation is a Foundation Sponsor. SAVE THE DATE!!!
