Ian and Beth will be travelling overseas for 5 weeks from 4th September on a mutual Long Service Leave break. In Ian’s absence we will welcome a series of guest preachers. Pastoral Care minister Trish Graham will work with the Pastoral Care Compassion Team to meet any specific needs.

World Week for Peace will be held from 17th-24th September. We are fortunate to have Rev. Joan Fisher, a participant in the EAPPI program, as our preacher on 17th September and also to speak at a special afternoon tea on Saturday 16th September, 2-4pm hosted by the Pastoral Care Community Team, at 26 Frederick St. Details here.

The most fun you can have sitting down – Glitter Balls & Big Hair, Alistair’s Musical Bingo, on Saturday 16th September, from 7pm. This is a FUNdraising event for the 2018 Palestine Israel Ecumenical Network Speaking tour for which our congregation is a Foundation Sponsor. SAVE THE DATE!!!

And then on Sunday 17th September the FUNdraising FUN continues with a stall after worship supporting the PIEN Speaking tour – buy and enjoy baked goods and preserves.

The Discipleship & Education Committee is hosting a special screening of ‘The Stones Cry Out‘ on Thursday 21st September, 7:30 pm at the Church.  Make your booking here or just come on the night.

Preparations for the ‘What is Creativity’ Exhibition continues with the second of our Open Studio sessions in the West End of the Hall after worship on 24th September.

Opening worship of the Synod meeting will be on Friday 8th September, commencing 7.30pm at St Michael’s Uniting Church, corner Russell and Collins St. Thereafter, supper will be enjoyed at 130 Little Collins St.
