Study Series

Our Discipleship and Education team runs regular one off seminars or short study series on topics of interest. Subjects may include bible and theology, science and religion, social justice, pastoral care, arts and spirituality.

Deepening Faith

Periodically we run a series of discussion sessions on the fundamentals of Christian Faith. This is an opportunity for people to explore and deepen, learn and grow, reenergise and recommit. For those considering baptism or confirmation, this is a good jumping off place, but all are welcome no matter the stage of their faith.

Persian Bible Study

We have a regular Persian language bible study group that meets with our minister after worship on a Sunday morning where we explore the bible readings and sermon theme for that Sunday. We have Persian bibles and a translator to help with our conversations, reflections and questions. At times we focus on baptism and confirmation preparation when people so request. This group is suitable for people with no background in Christianity.  Contact Ian Ferguson, 0438 547 842.

Baptism & Holy Communion

Baptism together with the reaffirmation of baptism called confirmation is one of the key sacraments of our faith which Jesus commanded his church to observe. Baptism marks the entry into Christ’s family. It is a sign of God’s grace and love, and a call to discipleship. At our baptism we make a powerful confession of faith and vow to live a life of worship, witness and service. To prepare for baptism we enter into a period of deep prayerful reflection and learning. Usually at our church this is done through the Deepening Faith or Persian Bible Study groups.
